;00:55and on thursday, we finally went to the zoo and fulfilled peiyi's long-time wish to see the white tigers! haha, but for me, it was like second time in the space of 2 months that I was at the zoo. and actually it wasn't really hot, but all the sunfearing people brought floppy hats (jojo), applied a lot of sunscreen (rachel) or brought big, colourful umbrellas (peiyi) haha, it looked more like some parade la. i'm the least kiasi one can, I only brought my sunglasses hahaha.
okay, can't really see the animal in the background cos the light very strong but it's a pygmy hippo! I think it's funny that pygmy hippos can't swim so what they are actually doing is kind of floating gracefully through the water. but I saw the poster of them doing it, and it looks more like they're tiptoeing through the water so maybe I can learn that skill instead of swimming.
behind us is the white tiger! actually out of all the animals, I would say I like the white tigers best. they're really majestic and their colouring is really pretty. both times that I've been to see the tigers, there's always this one tiger that's posing for the crowd so they're always very entertaining as well. haha, and jojo really looks a rich taitai from the back with her hat and her straw bag :)

and us waiting for the zoo show to begin at the shaw amphitheater! the zoo show that's on now is called 'the rainforest fights back'. the show is not bad, but I wished they used more animals in the show bcos as long as I can remember, they've always ended with ducks swimming in the pool part. next time, maybe they should include the tigers. that would be interesting.
and us at this part of the zoo that looks more like the botanic gardens! rachel kept taking photos of greenery la, it was as if we were at chinese gardens.

all in all, an amazing day and even managed to squeeze in abit of shopping at TT at the end where I got my beloved TT shorts!
