That joy can be found in a cosy, lazy cafe on a Saturday evening sharing life over coffee, fries and pasta. That unadulterated excitement can exist in dodging shoppers along the noisy, bustling alleys of Little India and Mustafa Centre. That love can steep and stew over an accidental ninety-minute bus journey of epic proportions, starting from a lonely bus terminal at st michael's and ending up right back where we started. Maybe it's been unknowingly inculcated in us to expect the grandiose, the glittering and the glamorous from our relationships. Maybe it's in every k-drama, every love song, every movie that we've watched and unknowingly grown to expect in our own lives. But again and again, you show me that love is both simpler and deeper than that. That it's in your willingness to spend dinnertime explaining the finer aspects of audit work to a completely confused amateur, in your protective shadow hovering right behind me as we navigate the swarming side-alleys of Little India, in your unwavering resolute to stay awake and entertain me on the extremely long bus journey home. And in all these little things, time and time again, I come back to the same conclusion. That God's choice for me is always incomparably good and he will never allow me to doubt Him or you.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." //1 Corinthians 13:4-7 By the end of this month, I would have attended at least 4 weddings this year. And because it was either my or UU's close friends getting married, we both got quite involved in the preparation and execution of at least 3 of the weddings. Amidst all the decorating, and the setting up and the rehearsals, the common experience I've had is the amazement at how beautiful the ceremony can be when God is placed at the centre of it all. That when God is glorified first and foremost, everything else that flows from the wedding is blessed, joyful and wonderful to behold. And it really gives me so much excitement that if my turn really comes, that we will try our best to make Him the centre of it all. We celebrated our 16th monthsary and his 26th birthday this week! With our favourite things like coffee, games, long walks and steaks in abundance! What an amazing journey it has been thus far, ever since the faithful day you made the cheesy comment that I was your cup of tea :) Thank you God for letting our paths cross, for keeping us together and for bringing us forward each and every day. You have made my life the most wonderful adventure ever since you came in. Thank you for leading me, loving me and taking care of me. tous les jours je t'aime. every day I love you.
