can't bear to let May go yet, my absolute favourite month. even though everybody complains about the heat haha. bored with seeing all the same clothing everywhere so I was surfing the net randomly.
and came to the conclusion that wikiHow has articles on freaking everything, like how to outannoy your annoying sibling, how to have a discreet bowel movement at your new boyfriend's house (!?) and one on how to avoid bothering your busy other half. and they actually have step-by-step programs which you can follow which was pretty interesting haha. so following on the suggestions, I'm going to actually try out the craft projects on my list, watch the Korean version of BOF and see if it outrocks the Jap one, hang out with friends, meet my BGS prof -.-, tuition, maybe sign up for sewing classes in simei, finish the books I still have, mahjong on friday, learning how to make cute breakfasts from my sister, anything and everything.
right now, I'm just glad the week's over. back to grinding out 1-0 wins.

went shopping with my mogu on thursday at FEP! haven't been there in a while, so it was nice to go before the school holidays start and the crush begins. we had lunch at this place that I've been wanting to show her since last year, it's owned by her haha! the food is really not bad and it's a very cute place to just sit and chitchat.
and I realise that my mogu has good taste! she picked out two dresses that I really love alot alot, and she knows how to keep me from spending too much money. but her weakness is zips lah. she sees any dress with a zip and she is very excited bcos she thinks it's very unique haha!
then had training for diva la futbol on friday with the soccergirls at siglap cc. I think it's the heat haha, haven't been under such terrible heat for a very long time man. but it was good to just be out, get teased, laugh at others and just enjoy the company. after that, went to claud's house to chill and play mahjong! haha, we were abit rusty at first but I was really lucky ytd, shiyi says how come all the animals are going over to your place huh? but I think bek was the luckiest, she was losing all the way but she earned so much money in the last round that she became the big winner lor haha.
Was her affection for Gyan just a habit? How on earth could she think of someone so much? The more she did, the more she did, the more she did. been reading alot of Indian literature recently so I was thinking of Little India when Chris asked me whether I got any places in mind. haha, I kind of like the atmosphere in Little India actually, very happening music and there's always this smoky smell of incense. and the cheese prata there is AMAZING. I could sit there and eat cheese prata forever! but sadly, I can't seem to remember where they brought us to when we were in primary school. I wanted to get those little Indian perfumes in plastic bottles and maybe buy an Indian tunic or two but it was wayy too hot to hang around and shop. but Chris showed me those alcohol shops where the alcohol comes in those mini collectors' bottles and it was pretty interesting. when the weather gets better, I will launch a fullday trip there definitely!
and on tuesday, we went to delifrance to spend deming's vouchers! but in the end, we were the ones who got cheated lah. apparently the vouchers can only be used in delifrance cafe but we were eating in delifrance bistro haha. and we were so happy somemore eating like there's no tomorrow! then went to shop around in pull&bear where zel and deming were having fun pointing out clothes that are 'my style' haha. does that mean I have a very predictable sense of style? okayy, it means that I have alot of similiar looking clothing!
and my cousin made my day with his awesome picture of a dinosaur! the more I look at it, the more I'm reminded of my dinochua, oh I miss you, come back soooon! in the meantime, I shall stick this by my bed hoho.

;17:35birthday celebrations with friends were pretty awesome this year. early on my birthday itself, had a birthday breakfast with shiyi at macs and it was just really nice to catch up on stuff and gossip. so now I know how dangerous facebook is okay, shiyi can infer alot of gossip from facebook pictures lor, everybody better be careful haha! and earlier, I got a call all the way from London from my dear weilin! so nice of her to call at 3am (her timing!) just to talk about random stuff like how to make your cheeks fatter and whether chewing gum actually adds weight to your face. :)
and other than that, it really felt like alot of celebrations going on cos we celebrated rachel's belated bday on the 18th at dan ryan's. it's a pretty awesome place actually but the head waiter is abit unwelcoming. ooh, and they give away free cake if its your bday haha!

and if you look carefully, you will notice that jojo and peiyi are both wearing extremely adorable peterpan collar dresses! but that's okay already, they wore their matching forever friends necklaces three days later haha!
on the 21st was supposed to have dinner with chris at wheelock NYDC but it turned out to be a surprise attack by them! haha, see the extremely shocked face, really didn't see it coming la but so sweet of them :) it was really like a guerilla ambush but with a bday cake, a bday song and a very thoughtful gift!
hmm, thinking of what to wish for haha! very hard for my brain to operate while it's still in a mild state of shock.
and here, opening and inspecting the bday cake and the lovely gift! I really appreciate all the effort that went into the box and the gift haha, and I love all the photos but how come the picture of ashin is SO SMALL!
and a lovely group photo at the end! thanks alot to all those who celebrated my bday with me this year or smsed me their congratulations from near and far far away (laoda!) :) you made this bday a truly amazing one.

and the day finally comes when I turn twenty! the cake on the right is mine and the one on the left is my aunt's. it's so great to have birthdays, the cakes, the angbao money, the singing, the presents, haha it makes you forget that you're getting older :)
and this is I think, the best strawberry shortcake I've ever eaten!
my cousins and I! I realise that spectacles makes everyone look alike right!
and my 20th birthday candles which I'm going to keep haha. it makes me feel all sappy inside. I realise that I've really turned twenty because this year, instead of being all concerned about what presents and how much money I was going to get, I remembered to write a card to thank my parents for growing me up. and they were really touched which made me realise that actually the simplest things can make a parent happy. and since they're so simple to do, I should do it more often.
this is a massive, massive muddy mudpie from TCC, one of the yummiest I've ever tasted. it can actually stand on its own by the way, and when it stands, it looks like someone's boobs from the side haha. i love the airport on a weekday, quiet and still with pockets of human warmth in just the right places.
and just finished my first week of CIP with the sunshine club at claudia's church and it's both refreshingly fun but so tiring also! kids just have so much energy and when they get together, it's so darn noisy. and by teaching them maths, I realised that my long division method is kind of wrong. apparently when the number cannot be divided, you're supposed to put a zero there not add a zero to the back. ohmytian, the kid had to correct me lah. tsk tsk, my primary school teachers never teach me properly cann.
and to round up the week, I finally finished the jar which I'm going to give later. haha, I got superglue all over my hands lah and it's so annoying bcos there's no way to remove it! my sister says just must wait for it to dry up then peel off haha. and I bought too many crisps so there's extras even after I filled the jar. oh well, I kind of like how it turned out :D

we finally met up on wednesday at spaggeddi's in paragon! the spaghetti carbonara is still my favourite haha, but rachel hates the way they do the neapolitan mozarella appetisers. it was wayy too rubbery haha and she kept poking it with a fork and laughing at it. next time, we can try the famous hand soba store that was opposite with those crazy prices (they charge $20 for a bowl of noodles!)
okay and all the photos don't have rachel bcos she refused to take any photos haha. but jojo kept wanting to take so she can have a blog entry dedicated to her :D
then we went to starbucks after dinner for the usual afterdinnerchatting haha. i didn't know that a venti size caffe mocha was so huge haha and I thought eastpoint starbucks has been cheating our money by giving us smaller sizes haha but I realised that it's cos we've only ever ordered grande size. haha, it's so confusing right cos grande sounds bigger than venti lah. the starbucks near centrepoint is very nice since it's all al fresco seating and the weather is just right in the night.
and we had a really really good time just talking haha about wringing chicken necks, tjc, 3306 and what they are up to now, love that you fall into, love that you grow into, uncertain beginnings, growing up, getting older, change and friendships. it was just really great to catch up after the craziness of the past fifteen weeks and plan stuff to do haha.
and I realise what jojo said is true, i've missed having times like this.
we celebrated my sister's birthday today at jack's place! okay, it's kind of a dumb place but the rule is when it's your birthday, you get to choose wherever you want to go. i think for my birthday actually, I want my mom to cook! haha, fat hope, I should be the one cooking for her lah (but kinda dangerous if I end up poisoning everybody). okay, we'll go to soup restaurant, they have really really good chestnut pork which they serve shaped in a biscuit. and maybe they'll lower the price cos of swine flu haha. oh and my sister shares a 3rd May birthday with claudia, haha happy 20th claud!
it was really fun in the car back cos we were laughing about stupid stuff we saw on tv. I was laughing so hard that my stomach really hurt haha. it's a pretty good way to get abs actually! I was seriously considering going to mjc to jog over the weekend cos I was pretty bored but I was too damn lazy haha. maybe I should just amuse myself with funny stuff and get exercise that way.
Our desires always disappoint us; for though we meet with something that gives us satisfaction, yet it never thoroughly answers our expectation. just swallow it, sleep on it and by tomorrow, I'll have forgotten it.
