"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. [...] For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
//Isaiah 9:2, 6
Time and again, I am reminded that this is a journey, this is a season of my life, this is a fraction of who I was made to become. This December, I am thankful for Eps and the Hoyts who have taught me that by grace, one can accomplish so much more than the human mind can ever imagine. And I am reminded of the parable of the hidden treasure and the pearl. That the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Reminded that I must know where my treasure truly lies, for where my treasure is, there my heart will be also.
And my treasure is not what I read, not what I think, not who people think I am, not my grades, not my friends, not those who came in or passed me by. My treasure is you and you only. For everything that has been given to me by grace and favour is not for my pride nor for me to boast in, but everything I am, for your kingdom's cause.
Lifted high, in the only place that feels right. Blessed Christmas to one and all :)
