headed out to bedok with jojo ytd to complete the surveys for our CIP and damn, I think we've been cheated by them. haha, what own time own target, at the rate that we're finding the houses, it's going to take forever just to get 100 addresses la. but oh well, we saw a side of singapore that we don't see often when they're touting f1 races, ion orchards and IRs. a few of the addresses were actually 1-room flats with very warm and welcoming aunties who told us a bit of their life story while we were trying to do the survey and there were two car-washing uncles who gave us wrong directions were very helpful! but we walked until we just wanted to collapse la, cos all the HDB blocks are arranged weirdly. like 17, 18, 19 then cannot find blk 20 or even worse, we get to the right block but the lift doesn't go to the flat cos it's divided into two sides. so you must walk one whole round just to get to the other side haha. well, at least we had a fun time using jojo's huge pink umbrella and chitchatting all the way.
then rushed all the way to lido with mogu to watch the premiere of harry potter and the half-blood prince. free tickets and free chocs from cadbury ! haha, but I was so sweaty and hungry cos no time for dinner, in the end we just snacked on subway cookies. hmm, but cos both of us don't read the book, we didn't know what the heck was going on half the time. and there's lot of teen romance in this part la which was abit boring I think, not as action-packed as the last time. and after the movie, we got a happy meal to go cos I was so damn hungry!
and on wed, managed to get complimentary tickets to watch sunshine cleaning. it's a good movie though I think they didn't tie up some of the loose ends. amy adams and emily blunt are both awesome actresses! spoiler alert, but there's this amazing scene where nora (emily blunt) goes trestling and she sticks her face right below the railway track. and as the train thunders past, she's screaming with joy but there's tears running down her face, I thought it was a really good scene. the first movie that I cried properly at (real tears with awkward groping in the dark for a tissue) since Infernal Affairs haha.
all in all, it's been an upandown week. had fun hanging out at chinatown with rach looking for vintage charms, going back to tjc with wl & sy for comfort food, strolling arab street and haji lane with mogu and spending nothing to watch two movies! trying my best to be occupied all the time, but still waking up at weird times for no reason at all with heartpangs. which makes me tired in the morning, and spoils my plan to get rid of eyebags!
come back soon, the sun doesn't shine as bright when you're not around.
